Methodology: how Edvido listings are built and ordered

Last updated:

This page explains how Edvido's category, city and district listings are built, what affects the order and what we do not measure. The order of a listing is not a quality score or a recommendation.

Who appears in a listing?

  • Edvido member agencies and software companies. Agencies cannot self-register: they apply, hold a one-to-one meeting with the Edvido team and are listed only after that meeting.
  • On some city and district pages, companies that are not Edvido members. These are compiled from public business listings, shown after member agencies and not verified by Edvido.

The Edvido assessment: what affects the order?

The order of member agencies comes from Edvido's own assessment. Signals the assessment may take into account include:

  • Category fit and expertise: the agency offers this service and has experience in it.
  • Portfolio and projects: the work the agency has published, especially in this category.
  • Brands worked with: the scale and range of the brands the agency works with.
  • Client satisfaction: approved client reviews and feedback.
  • Profile completeness: team, services, prices and contact details are complete and up to date.
  • Digital visibility: how visible the agency is in search engines and in AI assistants' answers.
  • Membership plan: agencies on a paid membership plan may appear higher in the listing.
  • Edvido team review: the Edvido team can manually change an agency's position within the platform rules.
  • Location on district pages: agencies with an office in that district are shown first.

How the order can change

We do not publish the assessment score, its weights or how these signals are combined; the assessment may change over time. When a signal that affects the order changes materially, we update this page and the changelog.

Sponsored placements

Advertising agencies are shown at the top of the listing with a "Sponsored" label, separate from the organic order. Sponsored placements are not described as "leading agencies" in the page summary.

What the order does not mean

  • The order is not a quality score, an award or a recommendation.
  • Edvido does not measure or guarantee the quality of an agency's work; the contract is between the brand and the agency.
  • Listing order and brief matching are separate: when you send a brief, matching is based on the service, scope and budget of your brief.

Where the numbers on a page come from

  • The agency count in the title and summary is calculated from the agencies listed on the page at that moment, not typed in by hand.
  • Small, mid-size, large: the employee range the agency states on its profile (small 1-9, mid-size 10-49, large 50+).
  • Agency prices are the starting prices agencies state on their own profiles; Edvido does not verify them.
  • The Google rating on an agency profile is the public rating on Google Maps, shown under a "Google Reviews" heading.
  • Platform-wide figures (500+ agencies, 40,000+ brands, 70+ categories) are based on Edvido's own records. Category and city pages show their own live lists.

What we do not measure

  • The quality or results of the work an agency delivers.
  • Whether the prices an agency states are current or accurate.
  • An agency's financial standing, licences or legal compliance.
